Why Tenpin Soft Play Leaves Everyone Happy
Let's face it, most parents have been there. You're in a draughty, soulless canteen, sitting alongside a spartan kiddies' play area where your little darlings are running amok in unsupervised chaos.
But it doesn't have to be that way when it comes to soft play. Did you know that four Tenpin entertainment centres - Crewe, Dudley, Gloucester and Feltham - have the added attraction of brilliant soft play areas? SOFT PLAY THE TENPIN WAY
From fun slides to tunnels, climbing frames to ball pools, all our soft play areas are equipped with the very best equipment.
They've all been designed with safety in mind, meaning there are no hidden dangers or hard surfaces to be wary of.
And kids can easily go from one part to the other with ease, knowing more fun is literally just around the corner!
WHY SOFT PLAY?
Did you know soft play is beneficial to a child's development?
Those benefits include:
* Exploration - Soft play areas encourage children to explore their surroundings, knowing they can do so in a fun and safe way.
* Decision making - Left, right, up, down, straight ahead, catch, throw...? There are decisions to be made in a soft play area - of the fun kind!
* Spatial awareness - Whether it's through a tunnel or down a slide, kids in a soft play area are getting accustomed to their spatial surroundings by moving through and playing safely in them.
* Building confidence - They're making their own choices, exploring on their own and even making new friends - all without grown-ups holding their hands and all in the safe confines of a bright and colourful padded play area.
* Sensory stimulation - the bright colours, the noise only excited children can make and the equipment's shiny, textured surfaces appeal to a child's senses of sight, sound and touch.
RULES AND RATES
Our soft play areas are open Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm, and 10am-7pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Toddler (age 1 and 2): Off-peak £3 peak £5.25
Junior (age 3-12): Off-peak £4, peak £7.25
Children must be 12 years or under. A height restriction of 140cm applies.
A wristband system is in operation, so you know exactly when playtime is up.
Session times are two hours, with seating for parents and guardians available.
There is full sanitisation of the play areas at the end of every night.
IT'S PARTY TIME!
Celebrate birthdays or other occasions in style with a soft play party, exclusively available in our Tenpin Gloucester, Feltham and Dudley centres.
For just £10.20 per child, children aged 4-12 get 60 minutes of soft play, a party meal for every guest, unlimited squash, downloadable special party invitations and, for the birthday child, a birthday pin and a birthday cake presentation (cake, candles and party bags must be provided by the party organiser).
All our delicious party meals are freshly cooked to order, come with chips and ketchup, and include a choice of beef burger, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets and plant-based burger.
And if your little guests love ice cream, you can add one for just 99p per child.
Parties are for a minimum of six children.
OTHER PARTY PACKAGES
While our soft play parties are likely to appeal to younger children, there are plenty more party packages available at Tenpin which will appeal to everyone from families to groups of friends.

Bowling parties: As our name suggests, bowling is a big part of what we do - and even if we say so ourselves, we do it rather well!
And what better way to experience it than with a party group, meaning you can take advantage of some special rates and 'extras'?
Perfect for ages 4-13 and at just £12.50 per person, our two-hour party packages - available on Saturday and Sunday mornings - include bowling, dancing, balloon modelling, a goody bag for the birthday child, pizza served at the lanes and unlimited squash to keep everyone suitably refreshed as they all chase that coveted 'strike'!
Laser tag parties: Let the birthday boy or girl lead their team to victory with a Sector 7 laser tag party. As captain, the special guest will take command of their cadets to navigate through swirling fog, strobe lighting and laser attacks. Your mission is to destroy the enemy base - and when the mission's complete, it's time to celebrate! For children up to 16 years, a laser tag party costs £13.50 per person and includes 40 minutes of gameplay with a 10-minute safety briefing and a 10-minute break. Party guests receive a meal, while the birthday child receives a meal, a 200g chocolate bar and a drawstring bag that includes a party pin, T-shirt and a birthday sticker.
Karaoke parties: Channel your inner pop or rock star by belting out some classics, loud and proud! In our special soundproofed karaoke rooms, for an unforgettable 90 minutes, you can belt out your favourite songs - from rock to soul and pop to punk! And with more than 8,000 songs to choose from, you can practically be any pop idol you dream of! The popstar package, at £12 per person, is the perfect choice for teens, with room for 10 pop stars, four 12" pizzas, unlimited squash, a party prop pack and a gift bag for the birthday person. The rockstar package for grown-ups, meanwhile, adds a bit of fizz - literally - because you also get two bottles of prosecco, as well as ultimate sharing nachos. Both popstar and rockstar packages are available all day, every day.
